No matter what breed of horse or pony you are involved with, Helping Horses Equine Therapy and Toree Lewis-Hefner can help. A lifelong horse enthusiast, Toree Lewis-Hefner has spent more than 30 years working with therapists, chiropractors and veterinarians, learning how to implement a program of equine therapy that can be employed by any horse owner, at home or on the road at a horse show. Often finding it difficult (if not impossible) to get a therapist to come to the barn to work on a single horse, Toree sought to find techniques she herself could employ to help her equine athletic partner.
From that desire to empower individual owners, trainers, exhibitors, grooms, caretakers and others, grew the workshop concept, allowing Toree to reach a greater number of people and their horses.

"Having had my own equine therapy practice for 28 years, I have worked closely with therapists from all over the world. Toree is a dedicated horseman and always has the horses' interest and well-being at heart. We have spent time together learning and helping each other understand issues our equine clients are going through, from environmental to emotional and physical problems. Toree won't give up until she has gotten to the root of what is causing the horse to be unhappy or uncomfortable. She has a wealth of knowledge and is happy to share it!
